Step 2 — We Notarize
We schedule a mobile notary to meet you — at your home, office, or preferred location. Sign your documents, and we handle the rest.

Step 3 — We Authenticate (Hague Convention Countries)
For countries that are members of the Hague Convention, we submit your notarized documents to the appropriate authority:

• State documents → Secretary of State (in the state of issue) for apostille
• Federal documents (FBI, USCIS) → U.S. Department of State (Washington, D.C.) for apostille

Step 3b — Embassy Legalization (Non-Hague Countries)
Adopting from a country that is NOT a member of the Hague Convention? Your documents require a longer chain of authentication. 

We handle the full process:

1. Notarization — We notarize your documents first
2. County and State certification — Your documents are authenticated by the County where the Notary obtained their commission if you have non-vital records, and we obtain the authentication from the Secretary of State in the state where the commission was issued.
3. Federal authentication — We submit to the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. for federal authentication (Form DS-4194)
4. Embassy/consulate legalization — The federally authenticated documents are submitted to the embassy or consulate of the country you're adopting from, which issues the final legalization stamp

This is a more involved process, but we manage every step so you don't have to navigate four different government agencies. Our team tracks each submission and coordinates embassy appointments on your behalf.

Step 4 — We Translate (if needed)
Our certified translators handle the translation, and we coordinate the notarization and apostille/legalization of the translated copies.
